Shammick Workshops
The cost of Shammick workshops is subsidised by Shammick Acoustic Sessions, which is why they cost only £15.00 for day-long workshops (or £10.00 for half-day), including teas/coffees and a hot/cold buffet supper at the end.  The price does not include lunch and it is suggested that you bring a packed lunch – although there are pubs nearby. The number of places is limited and are allocated on a first come/first served basis - so early booking is advised! January 26th ~ Harmony Singing with Craig: Morgan: Robson
A comprehensive workshop suitable for both beginner and intermediate at harmony singing. How to: learn parts, develop arrangements, create a blend of voices, use your voice more effectively, etc.  This is a rare opportunity and is likely to be booked early - so don't delay, book today!
 

March 22nd ~ Songwriting workshop with Jez Lowe
Jez is one of the best song-writers around - and probably has more of his songs sung by other singers than anyone we can think of.  A true wordsmith, there is no-one better to lead a workshop on this subject.
 

June 28th ~ Song accompaniment with John Kirkpatrick
The fun thing with John is to work out which of his huge range of talents to apply to a Shammick workshop ~ songwriting? (we've had several), social dance? (there's others doing that), singing, melodeon, accordeon, anglo concertina ???  Well, we've plumped for song accompaniment - should be a fascinating day!
 

October 26th ~ Ensemble/group playing with Crucible
From one of the best and most musicially thoughtful young bands around, this workshop will look at playing together and arranging songs and tunes in sympathy with the material and subject matter itself.
